Web Design Wellington, New Zealand

The brief was to create a Holiday homes website experience that delivered on the brand promise of space, privacy and shear luxury. Located at 88 Vintage Lane, Te Whau, Waiheke Island, Wharetana is a leisurely 20min drive from the Matiatia ferry, 12min drive from the Sealink Ferry or arrive by sea plane, helicopter or boat and use the private mooring.

The custom holiday home website design engages visitors with a sophisticated layout using high-resolution full screen imagery and a simple intuitive navigation structure.

To showcase the shear luxury of Wharetana, we defaulted the website to a fine balance of content and stunning imagery, allowing it’s users to appreciate the property in all it’s glory.

Finally, the site integrates responsive design practices to ensure an optimal user experience across a range of consumer devices.

About the property.

Set on 2.5 hectares on land. There are two aspects of the property. The Pohutakawa Reserve & the seaside visitor facility.

The Pohutakawa Reserve is just after the entrance to the property and is a large flat clearing. The majestic 400 year old Pohutakawa tree sits proudly on the point and overlooks the bay. This area is large and perfect for wedding receptions, large corporate functions and “Glamping”

The Seaside visitor facility has been lovingly built to blend in with the environment. The impressive modern two-level house is a sum of two parts connected by a contained bridgeway. One is “the boatshed” wing, rustic in appeal with bedrooms and movie media lounge; the second is “the super yacht”, an open plan living, dining pavilion sleek in appearance.

The sliding glass doors from the living pavilion open on one side to the waterfront al fresco terrace where you can sit, relax and watch the sun go down or the other side to a sheltered cabana with open fireplace.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city, relax and enjoy all that Wharetana and Waiheke has to offer.
